About modules
2024 edition of Elmo-Lion PhD course consists of 3 module: Online Lectures, Project Work and Summer School. Each module can be taken separately or together with other modules.
We recommend taking all three modules because:
☆ Online Lectures contain important fundamental information needed for Project Work module.
☆ During Summer School, students should finalize their ideas developed at Project Work module. In a case if student does not pass Project Work module, they should develop idea themselves without receiving Project Work module ECTS credits.
The course is available for doctoral students. The online lectures and quizzes will be available from March 2024, and industrial working cases (project work) will be available from April 2024. Students will participate in the weeklong (five days) Summer School From July 29th to August 2nd where project work results will be presented, and venture-creation opportunities will be provided.
Deadline for registration and payment is 30.06.2024.

Timeline
Application process begins in October 2023. Online lectures will be available from March 2024 with total duration of video materials being about 16 hours. Lectures focus on the materials, characterization, modeling and market of Li-ion batteries. After that, in April, topics for project work based on real cases from the industry will be available. Elmo-Lion Summer School 2024 is scheduled for August and will take place in Italy.
Important information
All the activities are held in English. 2024 edition of Elmo-Lion PhD course, including online lectures, project work, supervising, accommodation in Summer School, activities in Summer School, is partly supported by EIT RawMaterials. Fixed reduced rates apply for participation in Elmo-Lion PhD course 2024. Travel costs to Summer school in Italy as well as any additional costs related to education in ELMO-LION school should be covered by participants.
Required information for the application
Students should provide in application form personal information, information about their current education and background. Also, two documents should be uploaded: Curriculum Vitae (CV) and conformation about PhD education.
